Torn clothes
Empty stomach
small child
busy street
spreading hands
uncaring people
cruel world.

wizenedwizard has posted a comment in which she has changed the look of this poem and i think it is more beautiful than mine and i feel that it should not be there in the comment so i m posting it here.
mended clothes
a garden's bounty
small children
in a busy street
holding hands

Sad but true...
Great poem!
indeed.. i agree with whimsicalnbrainpan.. and as how the internet tend to be one's escape from the real world, we must have a reality check once in a while as well..
Thanks whimsicalbrain and atomicvelvetsigh sharing ur thoughts
The poem truly requires no picture as it is indeed the sad state of most parts of the world. :(
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog and the link. I will link you also.
The poem is so sad but true, I also have a poetry blog if you like poetry, there is a link on my main page.
Its called Poets Corner.
But perhaps there can be...

Your blog has a wonderful sensibility. Thank you for dropping by and letting me know you are here.
Ah, Sandy, I only "copied" from your originality (which is MUCH easier than actually writing a poem as you did). In truth, my view of the world is more in line with your poem. I most often see the glass half empty, feel the despair; but today the sun is shining and the garden is blooming and the corn is stretching tall, so I guess I was feeling like trying to lift you up a bit too.
Hello Sandy,
A heartbreaking and beautiful poem, valuable to read for those of us who live in an insular and priviliged world – I'll be sure to think of it next time I'm feeling sorry for myself.
I also love your photos and the uplifting captions that go along with them.
Happy creating, my friend, and thanks for dropping by planetpapillon. I'll add you to my links list as well.
Peace!
Thanks papillion for your comment.
And wizenedwizard i really think that your version was more good than mine.
Hey Sandy,
I can't take credit for the follow-up to your poem. It was actually posted by wizened wizard.
I like it!
Oops sory papillon. Wizened wizard is gonna half kill me. apologies to wizened wizard.
Nah. This wizard doesn't kill anything. : )
Sandy, it is very sweet of you to feature my version of your poem, but methinks you are being too generous. I merely "stole" what you had done and did some word swapping. What I did was more like solving a word puzzle than being truly creative (and I love to do word puzzles). (Gee, Wiz, why don't you just say THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SUCH A GENEROUS COMPLIMENT...? Yes, good idea.)
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR KIND WORDS. ; )
Sometime you might enjoy checking out the poetry my friend Shaman writes. I often add photos to her work because we seem to see and react to many of the same things.
Your blog is a very fine new addition to my blog roll; your voice a sensitive and thoughtful one and I am enjoying my visits here.
i think both urs and wizened wizards version of ur peom are beautiful .... one transcends to the other ... when u real line to line its really a good feeling
thanks alok thats nice of you.
