Last night I had been to a restaurant located in main city. And as it often happens it made me feel sick to be among hoards of so called upper class people. I dont know why it makes me uncomfortable to be among them. I know west has made a great influence over here but completely aping them stretches out too far. For people in the west living the lifestyle that they live is nothing new and it comes out to them as natural and they don't make fuss about it. But then people here trying to behave like them! Cut it out. Wearing fake smiles, big talks, over obese bodies wearing skin tight dresses and terming it as fashion, strong perfumes, well there is no end to them. It seems that they are seeking to draw unnecessary attention.The only thing that came to me as relief was children. At least they were behaving according to their age full of innocent questions.
I dont know why but i really dont enjoy being with them call it my conservative nature or whatever u like but i dont like it at all. I know it will be difficult to avoid them as i m in IT field where money flows like water and such pompous environment cant be avoided. And i pretty much wonder will this thing lead to a gradual metamorphosis in me making me one among them. I really dont know.

Behavior changes over time. Sometimes we need to change our living style to be with community of same class. We have our perspective of life, they have their own. Whatever we feel about them, they must be feeling about us. We need to respect their life style and accept our life style.
Think about us, what we were in college, from clothes we wore to the way we spent money and our mindset and the same things today, when we earn, has a great difference.
I have the same feelings when an upper class person shows off. Sometimes I feel it is our burning desire to reach at that stage makes us think so.
May be you are right. But in my case i guran-dam-tee you that i dont have such desire to behave like them knowingly or unknowingly. Its not about just the attire that i m talking, its about the aura that i normally feel amidst them. I hate that and i definitely dont desire that. Right now i m considered as a guy who doesnt speak much. Well one of the reasons might be that. i have taken to the change which i dislike and hence tend to mingle less.
I don't think that you will ever become one of them. It's just not who you are.

It seems that no matter a person is in the world, there are people who pretend to be someone they are not. Being a fake is one of my biggest pet peeves. Glad you have the insight to recognize the phonies walking among us.
